Curbside Recycling Revised to the Big 4:

The list of acceptable materials for placement in the curbside recycling bin has changed for Lancaster County. Only the following materials (the "Big 4") should be placed in the curbside recycling bin:

  1. Corrugated Cardboard (to be cleaned and flattened)
  2. Plastic Bottles and Jugs (must have a neck)
  3. Metal Food & Beverage Cans
  4. Glass Bottles & Jars.

Please discard any other materials (including paper) and remember "when in doubt, throw it out". LCSWMA will turn these materials into renewable energy.

Do not throw batteries in your trash or recycle bin. Rechargeable batteries containing metals such as lithium and nickel, can spark and explode when damaged. Fires in garbage trucks and processing facilities are on the rise. Help protect our employees, garbage collectors, property, and community. Read more on what to do with your batteries.

The large corrugated cardboard dumpster is available for the Township residents to drop off corrugated cardboard to be properly recycled.

The dumpster is located at East Cocalico Township Municipal Building,
100 Hill Road, Denver.

Due to the new recycling changes, the paper dumpster was taken away. Paper, newspaper, junk mail, office paper is now considered trash and can be thrown out with your trash. Read more.
