The Township of East Cocalico is one of the northeastern townships located in Lancaster County in southcentral Pennsylvania. The total area of the Township is approximately 20.4 square miles with 10,375 residents and one of the fastest growing municipalities in the region.
East Cocalico is a Township of the Second Class, governed by a three-person Board of Supervisors. Supervisors are elected at large on staggered six-year terms. The Municipal Manager is the principal administrative officer and is responsible for managing day-to-day operations as well as implementing the policies and procedures as set forth by Board of Supervisors.
Requirements for the Municipal Manager position include a bachelor’s degree in public administration, business, and/or the equivalent and at least five years of local government management experience preferably as a Senior Administrator, Department Head or Municipal Manager in a municipal government setting or in a comparable organization.The applicant must possess strong and proven financial and budgeting knowledge, analytical skills and abilities. Community economic development, grant writing, land development, and collective bargaining experience is preferred. The applicant must have strong interpersonal skills and promote teamwork within.
