DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Position Description (Full Time): East Cocalico Township, Lancaster County, PA, is seeking qualified applications for the position of Director of Community Development. Under administrative direction of Township Manager, this department head level position plans, organizes, directs, and administers the Township’s activities in planning and zoning, codes compliance (building and property maintenance), and overall implementation of the Comprehensive Plan; supervises department personnel in the performance of job duties and responsibilities; meets with various boards, commissions and committees to present information and recommendations; works with the public and acts as department spokesperson; and, prepares and implements the department budget.
   The candidate must possess strong oral and written communication skills; a knowledge of modern municipal planning principles and practices; a knowledge of budgeting and sound financial practices; and a knowledge of the principles and practices of the building trades as applied to residential, commercial, and industrial construction including a working knowledge of the Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code.
   The position is a full-time salaried position with an excellent fringe benefit package. ZONING AND CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER
Position Description (Full Time): East Cocalico Township, Lancaster County, PA, is seeking qualified applications for the position of Zoning and Code Enforcement Officer.  Under administrative direction of the Director of Community Development, this position assists residents and businesses with the administration of the Township’s zoning ordinance, building codes, property maintenance codes, and stormwater management codes; reviews applications; conducts plan reviews; issues permits; investigates complaints and conducts on-site inspections to ensure compliance with all applicable ordinances. 
   The candidate must possess strong oral and written communication skills; a knowledge of modern municipal planning principles and practices; a knowledge of municipal land use ordinances, implementation and compliance policies and procedures; and a knowledge of MS4 permit requirements, storm water maintenance and State and Federal storm water management requirements.
